Olive Garden's Spicy Calabrian Wings

Got these wings couple of weeks ago at the Flatiron Olive Garden [near the  23rd Street] location and the concept of these wings is pretty good, but what I got was overcooked [dry] and unplucked [couple of] wings. I ate them all and wished that the cooks would pay better attention to the food that they cook. Cheesy white dip/sauce was kind of average and the portion of spicy red sauce was measly [not that I used it, but there was too little of it].

GNC Whey Protein and Fruit Smoothie

This is another one from the 2008: I bought two 1-pound bags of GNC's whey protein [this one and chocolate] on sale for around $26.00 at their Manhattan Mall location, and generally I did not liked to use the protein powder by itself with water, since it tasted pretty awful, so I began using them with fruits that I blended into smoothies. The protein powder tasted better this way. I used this whole bag of protein powder and ended up returning the chocolate one since I did not liked it and it was a bit caked-up and clumpy. I do not recommend buying protein powders and supplements, because in my experience I did not felt that they worked but I did felt the effect on my wallet [waste of money].

Charley's Philly Cheese Steak

Got this sandwiches couple of weeks ago over at Charley's Grilled Sub in their Penn Station location for around $8.00. This sandwich is not that great for this price and seemed a bit small to me, and it could have used more cheese.

Chunk of Boiled Beef

I used to eat this a couple of times in 2008 when I was trying to lose weight. This stuff is nasty and I will never eat it again.

Mondo Primo Punch Fruit Squeezers

These are very convenient to have around home and for grabbing a couple bottles to go. They also are a great value for $1.00 at most places.

Good Food Made Simple Egg Patties

Got these at Jacks World store for $1.29. These egg patties are pretty convenient and taste good. The only problem that may arise with them is overcooking.

Holodets [Aspic Beef] from Smart Cost Market

It tastes great: nice and firm gelatin and lots of balanced [meat and fat] pieces of beef. The only downside is that sometime there are teeth in it, so you gotta watch out for them; usually there are 2-3 teeth per plastic container, that is priced for $5.00. Its my favorite holodets from all the Russian stores that I know. Too bad that they stopped making it until the Fall season.

Banana Smoothie

Other than being thick, this smoothie turned out to be pretty tasty, thanks to the added sugar.

Aussie Dog with Cheesy Roadside Sauce and Banana Peppers

I was checking out what food I had in the fridge, when my eyes caught a pack of smokies that I bought a while ago on clearance for $0.99 at the Riteway store. I took the pack out and checked the date, only to find that according to the package, it expired 9 days ago, and there was some liquid build-up on the back of the package. I knew that I had to use these ASAP before they got any worse, so a sandwich for a good plan for them. I rinse these wienies, cut them in halves, fried them in oiled pan, then added some BBQ sauce and let it fry some more, then added some mustard and let it heat as well. Next came the mozzarella cheese, than followed 3-4 minutes later by provolone slices. I toasted the bread in the oven, and stuck a small metal tong in the slit so the it would be easy to stuff it with the wienies. Once everything was done, I filled the bread with wienies and topped them off with some banana pepper rings. I call it Aussie Dog because that was the best name from the other 4 names that I written for it, and it kinda fits and sounds good. And Roadside Sauce is because BBQ and mustard kinda what I would expect someone to cook with on the side of the road.

Olive Garden's Italiano Burger

This Italiano Burger at Olive Garden comes with some french fries and costs $13.99. It way overpriced and not that good actually. I ordered it medium but the beef patty was kinda rarish in this one, and it was way oversalted on top of it, while the inside of the patty was not seasoned and pretty bland in taste. This Italiano Burger should cost no more than $9.00 in my opinion, and I would not buy it again.
