5 for $5.00

Got this 5 for $5 plate yesterday and it was okay other than mediocre meatballs and very rough meat pieces [left, top]. Noodles were pretty good, in a cheap way, I like them. Spicy chicken was enjoyable, as well as sesame chicken.

Seaport Buffet Summer 2014

Went to the Seaport [buffet] for an all-you-can-eat lunch [before 3:00PM], and got myself 5 plates of these delicious Chinese foods. Everything was pleasantly-good except the chicken meatballs [2nd plate], which tasted like a lot of soy filling was in them. Got just enough of food that I did not feel sick afterward. Paid $15.00 on the bill of $13.01.

Lunch Special BBQ Spare Rib Tips with Pork Fried Rice and Chicken Noodle Soup

My favorite pork fried rice, with a bunch of BBQ spare rip tips and a soup! - all for under $7.00 [don't remember the exact price], but its only available from 11am to 3pm. Very good value for the amount of tasty food.

Chinese Fried Rice

The local Chinese food joint makes the best fried rice that I ever had. But its only this good when the owner of the joint fries it, the dude that works the evening shift makes just average fried rice.

Sweet and Sour Pork Fried Risotto

I was curious about a risotto dish for some time now since I heard about it on TV bunch of times [especially on that Gordon Ramsey's Hell Kitchen show], heard people talk about it but I never seen it or tried it. I googled for it and pretty much got that its a creamy rice. I figured that I can make my own risotto, and to make it simpler, I could just get the prepared ingredients in the local Chinese and mix them together on the wok. For $5.95 I got the Lunch Special Sweet and Sour Pork, with Pork Fried Rice and Small Chicken Noodle Soup. The local Chinese place makes the best fried rices compared to other Chinese places that I visited, and I mean it. I tried making my own fried rice but I never got nowhere near close as any Chinese place makes it, and ended throwing out my own home-made fried rice. So I figured that I can combine the Pork Fried Rice with Chicken Noodle Soup, and let the water air-out, then add some Sweet and Sour [red] sauce and let it thicken up with the rice, and there I would have my own risotto. And so I made it like that and it turned out pretty good; I hate plain white rice and pretty much any other kind of rice that is wet and/or sticky, but this "risotto" turned out to be very edible and to my taste. I knew that it would turn out well because many times before, I ate pork fried rice and kinda mixed-in the red sauce into it. So there you go! I also added some corn oil to the wok before I threw in the pork fried rice into it.

General Tso's Chicken Sandwich

I had some General Tso's chicken leftovers and a pack of hot dog buns that I planned to use for the hot dogs, but I decided to use couple of buns for these sandwiches. They were pretty tasty and I would make some more of them in the future.

Imperial Garden Hand Rolled Chicken Egg Roll

Pretty good chicken egg roll that I found at the Deals store for $1.00. They used to sell shrimp egg roll and now they began selling this chicken one, so I gave it a try and I like it. I used the gas oven method and it came out great; with crispy-crunchy shell and juicy [not soggy] stuffing. Can't beat it for $1.00.

Cream Cone

I got it at Chinese bakery in Chinatown for $1.00. It is pretty good and cream filling is better than at most places. It used to be $0.80 couple of years ago.

Nice and form block of orange flavored jelly. I got it for $1.00 at the Chinese bakery 2 blocks away.

Seaport Chinese Buffet

Walnut Shrimp [in egg sauce, in photo 1] tasted great; the rest way okay. Crab legs and crabs barely had any meat in them.
